Join with us to plant the Community Orchard at Owens Field! If you have a shovel and/or rake, bring them along. We will have the holes predug, volunteers will plant the trees and connect the irrigation and spread the mulch. Plan on attending the potluck lunch held at City Roots urban Farm and stay for a fruit tree seminar after lunch.
If you are attending the potluck lunch, please bring a dish to share that serves at least 6 people. Please consider using at least one local or seasonal ingredient in your recipe!
City Roots Urban Farm has graciously agreed to let us use their building at 1005 Airport Blvd. for our potluck lunch. Drop off your dish before the planting, the building is just a few hundred yards away from the orchard at 1005 Airport Blvd.
